Celebrating strengths
Ourspace Creative partnered with Redhead Creative Consultancy to bring Mid-State Health Network’s regional Anti-Stigma Campaign to life. The initiative sought to normalize treatment for substance use disorders by highlighting lived experiences and authentic storytelling across Mid-Michigan.
Collaboration shaped every stage of this project. Working closely with Redhead’s creative and strategy teams, Ourspace designed and led the campaign’s formative research process. We developed the focus group framework, crafted all discussion questions, recruited participants with lived experience, handled scheduling and logistics, facilitated sessions in four counties, and documented insights that informed Redhead’s messaging and creative direction.
From there, Ourspace led the production phase, directing and producing a four-part video series and companion photography that showcased powerful, hopeful stories of recovery. Our team guided scripting, casting, location scouting, and on-set coordination to ensure each piece felt real and human.
The finished campaign reframed how our region talks about addiction and recovery. By combining research, storytelling, and collaboration, it became a model for how creative partnerships can inspire understanding and change.
